Dr. Shakiba Feroz

I guess you can call me a native Californian, by way of Queens, New York. Born in Hayward, my parents moved our family back east for 10 years. The vibrant, face-paced, exciting, chaotic place that is Queens really shaped my outlook. I’m open to new people, places, and experiences.
I studied Biological Sciences at Sacramento State University and was accepted into UCSF School of Dentistry, the alma mater of many fine dentists like Dr. Barry Parish.
I believe in working collaboratively with my patients, helping them overcome dental anxiety and make informed decisions about their oral health in a supportive and respectful environment. To give our patients the best care in all aspects is most important to me and to everyone who works with us here at BFD.
When I’m not with all of you folks at the office, I’m staying busy with my husband and two young children-a spirited daughter and a sweet little boy. They bring me immense joy and exhaustion!

Dr. Lara Kachachi

I fell in love with the Bay Area during my time in San Francisco and decided to make it my home after graduating from dental school.
I take a conscientious approach to caring for my patients, striving to empower them to take an active role in their well-being and oral health through education and understanding. Above all, I want my patients to feel comfortable and at ease.
In my free time, I love getting outside! On the weekends, you can find me gardening, paddle boarding, hiking, backpacking, and exploring our beautiful state with my four-legged sidekick, Mildred!

Dr. Jnana Patel

I was born and raised in the East Bay and completed the accelerated dental program at the University of the Pacific, where I earned both my BS in Biological Sciences and my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After graduation, I completed a General Practice Residency at a Level 1 trauma hospital in Brooklyn, New York, where I was honored as Resident of the Year.
Now back in my hometown, I live in the East Bay with my husband and our two daughters. Outside the office, you’ll probably find me biking along the Iron Horse Trail to local farmers markets, digging in my garden, planning our next family road trip, or passionately cheering on the 49ers (my loyalty runs deep—heartbreaks and all). I’m also on a never-ending quest to find the best burrito—recommendations are always welcome!

Dr. Barry Parish

Dr. Barry Parish retired from practicing dentistry in 2022. Dr. Feroz has since taken over the practice from him and continues his mission of treating patients like family.
